Expanding ranges to benefit Apollo Blinds franchisees
Franchisees at Apollo Blinds are set to benefit from a planned increase in the range of products they will have available this year.
Britain’s biggest blinds store chain already offers the widest choice of products but its range is set to get bigger as the company looks at ways in which it can help franchisees to offer their customers an emporium of blinds and accessories.
The company is about to launch a new collection of Roman blinds and is looking to introduce more blinds to existing collections, as well as looking to improve its offering with related products such as shutters.
As regional manager Ian Thornton explains, all the developments are designed to continue giving franchisees the competitive advantage in the marketplace.
“Apollo Blinds works very hard behind the scenes to ensure that our network of franchisees have what we consider to be the very best collections in the industry,” he said.
“We recognise that it is vitally important because we are well aware of how competitive the window blinds industry is and one of the best ways we can differentiate ourselves is the quality and breadth of our ranges.
“Of course it is important to make sure that the pricing is extremely competitive but we are very aware that there is a significant proportion of the consumer market which is crying out to be inspired because they recognise how important blinds are in creating the right look, feel and ambience of a room.
“A lot of time and effort is invested in studying trends both in the window blinds industry and the wider interior design market so that we have ranges which enable our franchise network to inspire consumers.”
Thornton said that the forthcoming launch of the new Roman blinds collection was a prime example of the company’s approach.
“This year larger prints and contrasting colour schemes are very popular and we are putting the finishing touches to a collection which taps into this trend,” he added.
“And while vertical and roller blinds are still extremely popular, Roman blinds offer the customer an alternative and our franchisees will be able to seize on the initiative and hopefully generate more sales as a result.”
Thornton said that other developments such as the introduction of shutters was in the pipeline as the company had been monitoring the situation carefully for a while and believes it would soon be the optimum time for franchisees to start offering them to customers.
He said: “All these new developments make Apollo Blinds an exciting place to be, especially as we know we are giving our franchisees the right products to inspire their customers and make sales.”
