Speedy work from FastSigns

Staff at FASTSIGNS® Kingston are celebrating this week after the speedy completion of a full set of colour vehicle graphics for American road rally and Gumball Rally hero Alexander Roy.
The team at FASTSIGNS which is based on Ewell Road in Kingston, were called upon by Alex, and his master driver and co-pilot Michael Ross, to rebrand a hired rally car at the last minute, as their own vehicle was trapped on a freighter heading for Rotterdam.
World-famous rally driver Alex has won an Xtreme Rallysport trophy seven times and Gumball 3000 trophies three years in a row. He needed the rebranded car urgently for the launch of his new book ‘The Driver’, in Park Lane, Mayfair which covers his life as a rally driver and his dangerous pursuit of speed.
Alex said “We were in a real fix because we needed my car for the book launch, but instead of being in London it was on its way to the Netherlands! This was a very important occasion for me and had been arranged for months. I was really worried but FASTSIGNS were great. We needed a really fast turnaround and they delivered a fantastic looking car right on time. Even I wouldn’t have known the difference!”
FASTSIGNS specialises in signage and graphics products including banners, vehicle graphics and safety and identification signs. This project involved creating and wrapping the graphics on the BMW M5 series car in just 24 hours to fit in with the timescale of the book launch.
“We were really pleased that Alex and Michael asked us to help with this unusual task,” said Mark Phelps, owner of FASTSIGNS Kingston. “We have an excellent team of experts who are able to react to any job and will do their very best to meet any deadline. This was a fun project which caused quite a stir in the local community and attracted a lot of attention from passing traffic, both by foot and car. ”
